This is a huge wine. Plenty of fruit and savory goodness. Blackberry, plum, chocolate, tobacco, pencil lead on the palate. Full bodied with a huge mouth feel. Grippy tannins. Still a young wine with years of improvement ahead but very approachable if you decant for one to two hours.

Decanted an hour, ready to drink now, slowly losing fruit.

Easy drinking cab that has some life left in it. Solid for the price point

The young and the beautiful. Tasted blind and was no shock to anyone that it was Calicab. Opened for hours before serving. Beautiful fruit that wasn't in overdrive and showed mainly cassis and kirsch which is perfect for me. Some complexity already developing with a savory component that compliments and supports the fruit. There is some serious heft here but it is already very subtle and elegant. This wine will last a couple of decades probably but with air, is …

Very decent for the price. This is Hall’s lowest cab relative to price and was the first time I tasted. A lot of flavor and reasonably well structured. All things considered, I enjoyed it.

Aerated at dinner. Took 10 minutes in the glass. Better with age. Wonderful blend of raisins, earth, and bell pepper. Drink with steak au poivre or bordelaise sauce.

Full bodied, typical cab from Napa vallly - St.Helena region, which I love the most. Great texture and lovely finish with supple tannins. It is fantastic wine to drink by itself or with fresh fruit and cheese or seafood.

I decanted this 2nd bottling for a long time because I was leery of it. But it was better than the Hall North End I had a couple of days before. Not quite as fruit-forward and the finish was a tad dryer. It's a 2016 vintage, so it may even get better with some age. All the 2015 Halls I've tasted so far are much more developed than any of the 2016s. Still, I like this wine quite a bit …

A proper deep rich cabernet balancing fruit and tannins. Great value.

Drinkable from the beginning, improves over a couple hours. This is a luxurious wine, complex and fruity, not the least bit jammy. Hints of Cabernet Franc.

Dark ruby fruit - currants/cassis, dark cherry, and blackberry. Smooth mid-palate with a nice purity and decent depth/concentration for the price point - medium/medium plus body. Nice rich flavors of dark berries, some spice, cocoa, and a little graphite component. Fairly long finish. Popped/poured but drank out of a decanter for a couple hours. Not much improvement with time but it appears to be at a nice drinking point. Decent QPR at $40. 92% cab and 8% merlot.

A great value from Hall. Pnp anytime wine. Low on tannins and lighter fruits in this bottling. It went down way to fast!

Just exquisite wine. It is young and needs quite a bit of decanting to truly appreciate what it has to offer. It was significantly better on the second day of drinking it.

Pop and pour. Great cab, about the right price (perhaps a bargain) and great with a ribeye.

I love this wine. The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like mineral, stoniness, black pepper and stoniness. It tastes like cranberry, pomegranate and a hint of nutmeg. The body is medium/full. The wine has coarse texture. The wine finishes long. A great buy!!! Cheers

Definitely on the bolder, more extracted side but a good offering for the price.
