Ahoy there Riesling sea dogs! Another fine Riesling from Koerner, compared to the Parish, this one has the minerality/saltiness dialed back, although there is still some of that. This is a tricky fellow in some ways - Clare makes me think lime character to the fore (good for combatting scurvy, so drink up me hearties) but this is lemon, some citrus blossom, and at times I found myself thinking that if the Parish drew some comparisons with Portuguese Alvarino then …

A really delicious wine that is a little different form the normal Clare profile in that it's citrus components are more orange and tangerine rather than the normal lime and lemon profile. While there is strong acidity, it was broader across the palate.

Came through as a quite citrusy in comparison to a couple of other rieslings I had open at the same time. Think tangerine and ruby grapefruit. Pretty youthful and light, it makes for delicious summer drinking with a touch of grip. Long and clean on the finish.

There is a really nice concentration of flavour to this wine. The label says 12 hrs skin contact which I think helps this
