Deep lemon colour. Lemon curd straight up, with peaches, grapefruit pith and a nice white-flower lift. There’s that subtle popcorn / hazelnut thing going on, plus beeswax and a touch of lanolin as it opens. Fantastic; I had it after Paringa, not as fulsome, but amazingly balanced; long finish; great fruit and minerality; plenty of life left; great value; it could challenge any French Chardonnay, never mind American ones.

Intense nose of peach, lemon Rhine, and fresh oysters. Palate is also intense, and long. Citrus, and tastes of the sea. Stone fruits and mango with a dry sharp finish. As deep a Chardonnay one can taste in Oz.Great with oysters and prawns

Deep lemon in the glass, with an intense nose showing beautifully—white peach, lemon, grapefruit, nectarine, with vanilla, cream, and almonds. Plenty of development already. The high acidity and full body integrate seamlessly, with oak and lees influence balancing its richness. Everything unfolds in the glass, revealing impressive depth. Highly expressive, with a super long finish where oak and tertiary notes persist well after the last sip. Yum!

Deep yellow to gold colour, buttery mango and stone fruit in an intense long palate with a nice acid finish. Have 4-5 more of these and will see how they age. Brilliant with oysters.

Concentrated fruit - lemon, lime, orange and mango. The length and minerality of the wine is carried through with a surge of fruit density and cleansing acidity. Persistent flavours linger, showing the concentration of the 2020 harvest being hot and dry.

This wine was amazing. Complex and balanced. Lots of fruit in the front palate with lovely mouthfeel and long finish. Peach and apricots. I found this wine to be in perfect harmony and the oak was pleasing but not overpowering. Was drinking perfectly will be interesting to open this one again in a few more years and see the changes.

Fine Wines SG - Meursault vs the World BYOB (Fine Wines SG) : Some good pineapple and mango, a blast of vanilla and cinnamon, as well as toasted white bread and biscuits, and even a bit of caramelised sugars. Fairly high in acids, but that seem to have contributed to a good fruity punch in the finish. The perceived alcohol did not seem high, probably because it has been balanced off by the high fruit intensity

Clean, tropical nose (v typical). Rich fruit, buttery but crisp. Hint of minerality. Lovely balance. Drinking beautifully now; no rush.

Chardonnay and Pinot Tasting : Blind. Flint, lemon, orange, smoke and straw. Very good acidity, cleanses really well. The fruit has good depth and there is a good mix of sweetness and minerality. Great length and deliciousness here. Not surprised when revealed as I really like the Cullen Chardonnay.

2006 Cullen 'Kevin John' Chardonnay, Margaret River WA Served 12 degrees, not decanted. Deep golden colour in glass. Surprisingly light-med on the palate. Aromas of pineapple, mango & bakers yeast. There is richness & plenty of ripe tropical fruits & butter on the palate, with a lovely line of minerality that keeps it clean & focused. Translucent yellow in colour. Nose of pear and limes. Light mouth feel up front with tropical fruits, limes mid palate, thru to tangy, zesty minerality before a long toasty finish. Much nicer bottle than my previous tasting which was muted fruit and lifeless.

Chalky Mineral, lemon, and some ripe tropical fruits on the nose/palate. Quite fresh, good balance & acidity complement well with the full-bodied & buttery style. Alcohol :: 13.5% This was served too cold and the nose was muted. The aromas started to show when the temp goes up.
