Balletto Vineyards Gewürztraminer

As well as this winery does Pinot, this is highly unremarkable. Nicer nose than palate, fairly balanced but just doesn't have that tropical stone fruit essence thar creates an interesting secondary flavor in great Gewurtztraminer wines. Not sweet, not overly acidic, just ok with food although we didnt try it with Asian or spicy cuisine.

I guess I would love this with 1 more gram a liter TA.

Very nice. Exceedingly pale in color, bordering on clear. Nose is fruity but much lighter than many of this variety. Taste is also restrained in a good way. Those sweet like notes but light and not at all cloying. In fact a hint of tart on the mid palate. Seemed like an Alsace style rather than something more in the off dry camp.

Lychee, pear, cinnamon, black pepper, ginger. Medium-plus body & finish. Went well with pork chops.
