This did not seem to be corked but it certainly did not live up to expectation. Did I wait too long? Was this a bad vintage? Maybe a combination of the two? It was linear, missing balance and character. I am befuddled because I have always loved this wine. Let me know if you think you have an answer for me. Thanks. We always love this wine. We really had this as a pre-dinner wine but we had some left and drank some with our dinner of beef brisket. It actually held up with the brisket which surprised both of us. While I would still choose a red with dinner, it shows the versatility of this wine.
