Nice red fruit, slight hint of green but integrated, slight spice, lingering finish. Reminiscent of a cross between a burgundy and Loire cab franc. Slight earth.

Drinking very nicely at the moment. Strawberries, some balsamic and sour cherries on the nose. On the palate, good acidity but no real tannins to speak of, but more sour cherries, some cola, spices, a hint of leather and sous bois. Not a "wow" wine but very nicely balanced and very drinkable, both with and without food. You don't need to be a Burgophile to like this wine.

This begins with a very appealing nose of dark strawberry fruit, sausage meat and then with air some baking spices, carrying over to the palate which is dark in profile, showing darker plums on the front palate to lighter Jolly Rancher watermellon candy on the finish.
