All tannins several years ago, this bottle has improved nicely with the tannins and fruit nicely balanced. Medium body and length, this is an excellent value.

Creme de cassis on the nose, very well balanced palate with a firm tannic grip and superb cassis interwoven with some leather and earthy aromas. Very silky and elegant. An enormous pleasure to drink.

Classic, elegant Haut-Medoc. Did not decant, but it improved with air. Aromas of cherry, pepper, leather, licorice, rose petals. Medium-bodied, easy to drink, medium length. Very slight heating on the finish. Actually quite good and should drink well for the next 2-4 years.

Initially stringent. Improved with an hour of decanting. The cab franc dominates early, but mellows with decanting. Strong tannins overwhelm the fruit. Should improve with age.
