Palmina Dolcetto

Great Dolcetto.

Won't buy again.

Decanted 1 hr. ahead. Medium ruby color. Pleasant, plummy, fruit-forward nose that also shows signs of cherry, deepened by a touch of ink. Juicy and sprightly on the palate, light-medium weight, almost tart, with hints of loamy flavors along with the red fruits. The finish is drying, nice, not tannic. A very pleasant bottle, at $20 a very good buy.

Tastes a bit like some hard wood, ormaybe just hard dolcetto, with some VA maybe? Feels a bit like vinegar on the back of the palate. Smells like jail masterbation notes Susie.

Palmina : Deep ruby color. Lovely sweet red and black cherry fruit on the nose along with cola, sweet herbs and cedar. Medium-bodied with smooth tannins and some moderate acidity. The red and black berry fruit is tart and crunchy but plenty ripe, and the fruit is doused in cola, vanilla, sweet black pepper glaze. Juicy but tart, fun but straight up delicious.

Thick opaque purple. I know this winery does some great things and I think a lot of people like this wine. I just found it to be outside my boundaries.

No notes, drank well over two nights, nice varietal character with some heft, sweet dark fruits, balanced and drinkable and food friendly at 13.5% abv
