Origin Collection Series Santenay

Getting hints of brick red, with a little seepage coming out of the tight cork. Heavy brett, sharp on the nose and barnyard in the mouth. The fruit is light, the acid high, and overall it's pretty rustic and old world, in an interesting if not exciting way. I corked it, popped a west coast pinot for dinner, and threw this back in the fridge. The next evening, it's still pretty musty. Not liking this, even with the clearance price …

a little disappointed by this wine. got it at a killer price, but i would NOT pay the asking price for this wine. I am writing this note a few days after drinking, but the fruit seemed muddled and the whole thing was a bit disjointed. there was some of the 'barnyard' on the nose and palette, which is to be expected from burgundy. find this for less than $10 and go for it, otherwise PASS!

Yes that's right a 92! This wine is complex, well balanced, delicious! Going to go out and try to find more! Very hard to find!
