50% Tannat, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc. 12.5% abv. Popped and poured. Semi-translucent dark purple-black. Initial funky vegetal Tannat nose that opened in the glass to show a little smoke, raspberry/plum, cab-franc-tobacco leaf, meat. Medium-bodied with a dark and meaty Tannat fruit spectrum, minerals, telltale brisk acidity, and no tannins to speak of, unusual for Tannat from Southwest France.
