Peach, stone fruit, hint of oak. Well rounded palate with good length. Enjoyed.

PnP, consumed over three hours. Layers of citrus, peach and minerality, with a richness that becomes more pronounced as the wine warms in the glass.

Interesting Chardonnay. Limited or no oak or malo. Earthy nose of unoaked Chard. Similar on tongue but with supressed fruitiness compared more familiar unoaked Chards. More body and a darker color that leads me to believe it was fermented at least partially with stems and skins. Got better as it warmed. I found it quite good, especially with food. I would not call it simple. Good finish.

Citrus, oak, peach, and sulphur on the nose. Palate is a bit too ripe and fat with low acidity. Very simple. No aging potential.

Chardonnay and Pinot Tasting : Shortbread, lemon and laundry powder. Austere fruit, there is plenty of texture and each time I think the fruit is going to drop away, it comes back into focus. Medium depth and length, this has some interest to it.

December '16 - January '17 Events : Loved this wine and, in general, am really liking Etna whites – have had several great ones in the past year or so. Elegantly structured with enticing aromas of citrus, Mediterranean herb, and fragrant yellow flower. The fresh, clean palate shows juicy lime, pear, and chopped herbs. Tangy acidity on the entry and a crisp, lingering finish. WOTN on Christmas Eve.

A nice floral, citrus and mineral driven nose that leads way to much of the same on the palate along with a bit of a vanilla tinged oaky profile going on. Much better balance at a colder temperature.

Chardonnay is one of the most international grape varieties, planted all over the world, but is somewhat of an oddity planted in the Mount Etna appellation as a featured white wine for an innovative winery that focuses on indigenous grapes. Flowers are the chief aroma, a soothing texture is the lead experience when sipped followed by lemon citrus fruit and bright acidity with good persistence through the swallow. Overall, tasted by itself, the wine comes across as just a good …

At the winery with Letizia: Lovely mineral, lemon, dry mountain herbs, rocks, minerals, lemon skin, candied lemon, but subtle; dry, relatively dry acid, very good, very clean, lean, and great zip for a Chard grown on Mt. Etna! Very surprising and good. 13.5% 100% Chardonnay

Sicilian Wines : Powerful acidity, bone dry and some florality. Also a touch of soap but the piercing acidity is dominating.

Tasted at the winery. Buttery, oaky notes along with orchard fruit on the nose. Medium bodied with a good amount of oak noticeable throughout, but probably not too surprisingly for a wine so young. Peach and apple upfront, backed with lemon and varied citrus on the back. Very smooth into the finish were it picks up a good amount of mineral notes along with some vanilla and oak. There's good structure and fruit here, but to my tastes, a little …
