Dr. Wehrheim Spätburgunder Sonnenschein GG

Red fruit (cranberry, gooseberry, tart cherry), light smoke, pine, graphite, and a saline finish on the palate. A touch more generous than many Spatburgunders and dips a bit into the savory side of Pinot too. Complex and a good mid palate weight. I found this really interesting and enjoyable. Would definitely buy again.

Deep red and plummy fruit aromas. Quite opulent on the palate for a Spatburgunder, and there's a palpable sense of ripeness without being overdone. Just a bit of spritz on opening, which clears up with some air. A very impressive showing.
