My main bottle to share with Mark and Carol at The London Club in Naples FL. Opened at noon and re-corked, then double decanted for 30 minutes (from 4-4:30pm) and started consuming by 5:30 with dinner. The wine is big, massive in tannin and dried fruits, good acidity, astringent in the palate and very long finish. Wow. Give it an hour decant and really enjoy this. Merlot dominant Dark color and nice full body to go with a nice steak. Give a couple more years and still will that much better. Special wine for a special occasion

Leave it to a Merlot dominant Napa Valley wine to blow my mind. I haven’t had Petrus, nor Le Pin. I don’t know what they taste like. I know what L’Evangile, L’Eglise Clinet and Trotanoy taste like. And I can tell you from my experience, not as good as this. And if Petrus or Le Pin don’t taste as good as this wine, we’re going to have problems.
