The merlot stands out in this wine a little fruity but also that tanic astringency. This was Erin's preferred bottle of the two Bordeaux

Good, but not noteworthy or particularly exciting

May be me however tastes much more tannic than a few months ago. Fruit is smothered in dark notes, highly concentrated penetrating.

Nose of black berry, currants, and mocha, same on the palate, tasty, big body, mouthfilling fruit, opened and enjoyed one glass, waited 4 days, most of tannins softened and increased my enjoyment, suggest you cellar for 4 years, long finish, photo uploaded.

Nose of black berry, plum, cigar box, and mocha, same on the palate, medium/big body, tasty, mouth filling fruit, lots of tannins suggest 2 years cellar time will be rewarded, under $29, long finish, new wine tasted.

Tight nose of cedar and baking spices. Taste of pure chalk with a hint of anise. This wine is ridiculously tight, tannic, and young. I will not give it a numerical score because I'm not one of those people who are (or claim to be) capable of barrel tastings. I don't think anyone should open a bottle for 4+ years. I tasted it on day one, and immediately decanted and put it aside for three days. It barely mellowed out. …

Deep fruit cocoa nose, dark color, St. Emilion from the first sip, lovely textured intensity without the faults of so many layered wines. Nothing else I can add to Jeff Leve's spot-on notes other than it is aging well and worth a case buy.

Opened up on day 2. This wine needs a few more years or a long decant. Not much fruit on the nose. Mouthfeel is decent. Fruit has not yet emerged from the tannic structure. Typical notes of Bordeaux. Has a bit of a light airiness and purity. I believe this is roughly 50/50 Cab Sauv and Merlot. Pretty good stuff and good value at $25.

We had it at a tasting. Nose of blueberry, rubber. Taste of black fruit, cedar with a wash of acid to finish. Wife didn't like it. I think it needs 4-6 years and is overpriced by 50%.

Will be great in about 4 years. Allow a while for tannins to soften

This was a gift from a good friend. 2018 for a Bordeaux is young. And this is no exception. Aroma was lock in, but had enjoyable hints of expresso and leather. This poured a deep garnet. This is dry but well balanced with a very pronounced flavor of dry plums and a hint of cherry in finishing flavor. Really enjoyed this.

Deep ruby color. Pronounced aromas of plum, dark cherries, earthy dark red jam, and faint notes of butter and wood spice. Dry, high tannins, medium acidity, long finish, full body, and medium flavor intensity. Flavors of charred wood, blackcurrant, dark herbaceous notes, liquorice, and prunes.

Lusciously textured, plummy fruits, espresso, licorice and smoky nuances are already discernable. Polished, round, sweet, ripe, dark red fruits taste and feel great on the palate. The finish, with its espresso and cocoa accented cherries hits the spot. This is a delicious value play for those willing to skip the big wines and just want pleasure in the glass.

Rich, dense, plummy, fat and with depth of flavor, the wine is loaded to the brim with all the ripe, fleshy plums, licorice and cocoa you need. This is a delicious value play for those willing to skip the big wines and just want pleasure in the glass. 91-93 Pts
