The nose is right-on sympathetic with red-berry, lakeside, herbaceous, and spicy pinosity - and a thin layer of german-style caramel fudge, which we might have done without. Fairly light-bodied on the palate, yet it doesn't lack concentration. The mouthfeel is somewhat viscous, and the balance impeccable with fresh acidity and feather-weight tannins.
