Round melon and crisp acidity. There is good structure. I was impressed by this wine.

Classic budget white Bordeaux, 65% Sauv Blanc, 35% Semillion. Not life-changing whatsoever, but nice and reliable... Lemon grass predominant. Good seafood match. Drink this year.

Shows typicity, but rather muted and flat, with a sullen finish.

This is bang-on what you want from a white Bordeaux - there is tension between the Sauvignon Blanc and Semillion that sometimes gets lost in the grander whites from Bordeaux. Never full in the mouth, more rounded with balanced acidity. The price? A whole £11. Eleven quid!!!! I'm sold. Their red is also an utter bargain at the same price.

On the nose tropical fruit, perhaps mango. On the palate tropical fruits, a little oak and good acidity.

Grassy, lemony, light coloured. Not acid as pure Sauvignon can be. It has the depth of a white burgundy (oaked?) but is clearly sauvignon. Sophisticated for the price. Eaten with salmon and asian vinaigrette.

The semillon really tames the sauvignon in this wine which is a good thing. The aromas are still of grass and tomato leaf but they are slightly subdued. The palate is dry and quite acidic to start but mellows nicely although it would cut through some fairly fatty dishes.

Solid white bordeaux. No detailed notes, but can recommend this as a good value.

Lots of smoky minerality on the nose with hints of green-skinned fruit. Elegant, medium-bodied wine with nice stony texture. Not overly complex and falls a bit short... drinks like a fleshy Sancerre. Nice for the price!
