Recommend either slow ox or decant Dark garnet Nose: cherry, smoke, baking spice, very inviting poured 3 glasses to try before dinner. Palate: was initially tight but after 30 min in glass opened with raspberry, and vanilla notes Surprisingly tannic for a 22yo wine Lovely cherry on the medium length finish Decided not to bring it to dinner ( something not adding up) After leaving 1/2 bottle with stopper in place at 69 degrees for 4 hrs, There was a …

This particular bottle was slightly cooked. Past its prime. Others I had recently held their own.

Ever so slight bricking, but that is debatable. Nose at first reminded me of a recent 2005 Croizet-Bages - earthy/forest floor. Black currant into cherry cola on the palate with subtle hints of muted lime and significant minerality. Medium to long finish with tannic structure that, at first, made me think this wine has time to kill in the bottle. However, second glass leads me to believe that may not be the case. Coravin-tasted over 2 1/2 hours. Plan to …

65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc, 9% Merlot, and 15% Petite Verdot. Bought at auction for not much so wasn't expecting much. But a pleasant surprise. Cork crumbled on open but the wine was just fine. A sweet perfumed nose. I found the sour cherry and cola notes I more often find in certain 100% cab wines. Given the blend, was surprised how much fruit there was. Pure and polished fruit with a long finish.

This is red fruit oatmeal cookie greatness. Ready to roll. Nice color. No bricking. Hint of cherry cola on the middle with some mint. That red fruit and sweeter tannin. Softened. This one is right in the wheelhouse. Not going to get ANY BETTER in the bottle so if you are holding this one, pop it and enjoy it. I have a feeling that the 91.9 rating on CT includes a lot of people who rated this one an 88 …

I was surprised by the elegance of this wine. It still has some CA levels of extraction, but with a nice balance. It is holding up well (purchased at the winery and cellared since) and was quite enjoyable at this age, especially for a California Cab. Nice aromatics and a lingering finish.

Deep black fruits in the nose and flavor. Plums, currants, black raspberries, chocolate, coffee, licorice and earthiness in the nose. Blackberries, blueberries, and a touch of spice in the flavor. Elegant, full bodied wine with a long finish.

Mostly red with a hint of brown. No sign of aging in the glass. Opened and let sit in bottle for 4 hours. Heat and menthol on the nose, like a young CA Cab. Tight with a little acidity and not much tannin to taste, as if it needs more years to open up; however, unclear what the outcome of that would be. There is a little sourness that seems like it will dissipate with time. Very long finish. An …

15 year old napa cab tastes 10 years younger. So alive. Still dense, lots of black and red fruit. Some old world flavors of gravel and leather as well. Not an oak or fruit bomb, but both make their presence known. Great wine.

Definitely needed two hours to open up, but then drank very well over the next three hours. Nice mature CA cab, smooth texture, good mouth feel, with medium body and low acidity.

Wonderful forward dark berry, tobacco, coffee aromas. Great body in the mouth, long finish with some tannin. Still has plenty of life.

Still very young. No development from raw grape aromas after 14 years. I wonder whether it will ever develop bottle bouquet, or it will just be a fruit bomb - though a very pleasant fruit bomb. Soft but persistent tannins that will dry out your mouth just smelling them. Rich chocolate and dark fruit. Soft on the palette except for the tannin.

Great mature cali cab but still the ripeness of 02. Classic dark berries with tannin resolved and smooth till the end...great with brined pork chop and all clamoring for more

Good cork integrity, great legs. Popped and poured got better over two hours. Nose of pencil shavings, lead, dark chocolates, tobacco and spring florals. On the palate, smooth and med to long finish. Not overly fruity with everything flowing and in sync. Wish I had more, a lot more.

Less forward and ripe than most 02 Napa cabs I have had, though I'm guessing it is partly a function of age. Nicely balanced with ample acidity and enough tannin to support the fruit. Glad I waited on this.

Sadly, our last. No flaws. No sediment. Moderate rim variation. Nose of dark berries. Flavors of dark berries. No acid. No tannin. Low to medium alcohol. Medium to long finish. Paired great with grilled burgers topped with pimento cheese. This is a terrific wine. I think, just beyond peak, but, well within its drinking window. Ready to drink with some bottle life left in it. Cheers.

Monolithic but beautiful and round. It started soft and has gotten more so with time. No where near the complexity of the 2002 Salvestrin or even the 2007 Carlisle basic Dry Creek Zin. Drink now.
