Popped and poured. Pale ruby color. The oak has definitely integrated and faded into the background and you now have some silky tart red fruit along with a touch of earthiness and spice. The fruit is light and delicate. Very nice bottle of FLX pinot noir that is probably in a great spot right now. Would probably drink within the next 2-3 years if holding while there is still some fruit left.

Quite translucent colour, with a perfumed nose of bright cherry, some backing spices, subtle sweet oak and a soil note, really light high toned mouthfeel with bright crunchy red berries alc showed a little on the finish

Largely agree with the previous notes, there's some very pretty cherry flavors here with sweet oak notes. Great acidity and overall balance, and I found this very approachable now, not seeming to require further aging.

Previously tasted at the winery almost a year and a half ago, this was my first from bottle. Black cherry, light red cherry as well as spices and light mineral notes on the nose. Nearly medium bodied with red cherry upfront that's much more rounded and expressive (as opposed to dry and tart as it was previously). Moves into black cherry through the middle with a touch of additional depth. It has really opened up both upfront and through the …

Decanted for 30 minutes. Pale translucent ruby color. Very pretty in the glass. Nose of bright bing cherries, raspberries, a hint of orange peel and definitely some sweet baking spices and vanilla oak coming through. Similar flavors on the palate with juicy red fruits, smooth, slightly creamy mouthfeel, juicy acidity and a bit of oak sweetness on the finish. Served blind, this could probably pass for very cool climate Sonoma pinot which is pretty impressive considering this is from FLX. …

Excellent. Aromas of tart cherry, tobacco leaf, gun smoke. Definitely more on the side of tart fruit and herbal savory notes (as opposed to earthy or mushroomy notes). Beautiful pale ruby color, transparent. On the palate are much deeper, darker fruit notes. Black cherry, spiced plums. The oak is subtle but apparent, getting some pie crust and vanilla notes. Maybe even some hibiscus. Med minus tannin, med minus acid. Medium body, but impressive for a cold climate Pinot. Great depth …

Tasted at the winery. A blend of 26% from the 2017 vintage, 28% from the 2019 and 46% from the 2020 vintage. Aged 60% in stainless steel and 40% in oak. Red fruits (cherry, berries and others), earth and light spices on the nose. Very close to medium bodied (13.2% ABV) with dry red cherry upfront along with a bit of brightness and tart qualities. Expands through the middle, adding some deeper red fruit notes, almost getting to black cherry. …

Fruit forward Pinot noir from the Finger Lakes. Johannes’ first red wine is a “trio” referring to three vintages that he carefully blended and tested to achieve a unique balance of tart fruit, berries, cherry, and a bit of leather and petrol in the finish. Very food friendly and with lots of body it stands up to stronger flavors than other cold climate Pinot noir. This will age well. Even when young, decant even an hour before drinking. It’s amazing …

Decanted for 3.5 hours. So much potential here. Next bottle fall of '22.
