Part of a Germany 2024 (whites) and 2021-2023 (reds) tasting hosted by a vendor. 2024 was not an easy year as yields in parts of Germany suffered from Spring frosts. Tasting various regions and producers side by side impressively displayed the massively varying styles. My favorites were the reds from F�rst (unrivalled), Bassermann-Jordan Jesuitengarten (2015) and Immich-Batterieberg Batterieberg (2024 and 2016 Reserve). Tasting note: Fresh, green berry fruit. Dense and rich, full bodied wine (for a Riesling), creamy with notes of lemon, grapefruit, a sound mineral core - a strong showing for the warm vintage, the balance is impeccable. Approaching maturity, this will certainly go on. #Jordnær#Ib&Pia
