Tasted blind. Cherry, dark fruits. Fresher than the 2nd wine in the bracket. Clear oak treatment and tannins that detracted. 91+

Never had I imagined myself becoming an advocate for Etna wines, but the 2008 Feudo makes me not even think about writing a lot of superlatives and adjectives. This wine is amazing in its complexity, elegance and purity. The nose reveals a very Pinot like character (if talking about resemblance) but is more complex and shows no rainy deciduous forest at all. The palate is rather light on its feet, is nicely balanced and certainly contributes to the elegant overall …

These Etna wines with their elegance continue to impress. This was served with a saffron risotto and was a great match.

This was served with tomato-based dishes and is a wonderful companion.

The various components in this wine work very well with each other. Served together with a pasta and tomato sauce. Brilliant effort!

This is an absolutely brilliant effort from Etna. The nose is full of red mature elegant fruit, morellos and well integrated oak. The palate is medium-bodied and in desperate need of food, but then it really sings and shows tons of complexity and a superb balance. I am still positively surprised by the quality level from this producer.

Popped and poured, this was much more in line with what I was expecting (sour cherry and ash) than its brother, the San Lorenzo. Mid palate does reveal the oak and dry tannins but the finish is long and for the money, this is an excellent value. Well done!

This is a top quality Etna red with plenty of red elegant fruit and a lot of morellos combined with rather upfront, yet well-behaved tannins. There is also a very present tone of oak, but there seems to be a balance between new and old oak. Overall, this effort is well-balanced with integration as the keyword. Mid-palate could be described as sligthly thin, but this adds to the elegance of the wine. I was very positively surprised by the quality …
