74% Zinfandel 21% Petite Sirah 5% Syrah. Too sweet for my tastes. Maybe I just don't appreciate Zin, but my wife thought this blend was "OK".

Deep purple hue with high saturation. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, cream, graphite, leather, mint, pepper, plum, rubber, and vanilla. Medium-heavy body; full, rich, and smooth tannins; and high acidity. Surprisingly complex for a bargain pick at Grocery Outlet. Velvety and jammy on the palate with a bold, lingering finish with a hint of savory. Zinfandel-based blend with Syrah and Petite Sirah added.

Opened this with the intention of pouring a cup into a pot roast recipe and freezing the rest for future cooking. But it smelled decent enough so wound up drinking it. Nothing remarkable but pleasant quaffing. 85.

Aromatic black cherry notes. Not very complex, foul finish.

No meat should be without. Tastes like ZIn? And super simple on the palate.
