It was fine. Weak. Not a ton to recommend it.

NobleRottersSydney - Old riesling night (Fix, St James, Sydney) : {cork, 13.5%} [Geoffrey] A mix of nougat and stainless steel aromas; almost smells a bit grassy, as you might expect of Semillon. Quite a rich, dense palate, medium dry, with some grape-skin texture, not so much oak apparent. The sweetness is beguiling, but falls short of luscious despite its honey/vanilla flavours. 93/7 Semillon/Sauv Blanc. Medium nose shows papaya, roasted pineapple, yellow flowers. Palate gives candied banana, honeyed orange peel, lemon zest, guava, honeysuckle, medium acidity and alcohol. Could use complexity, but gets the job done for medium price point. Different vintages might show better.

A nice wine but has a very short finish with simple structure.
