Upon opening, I thought this wine was over the hill! It had no fruit! After letting it breath for about an hour it came back to life and was quite good. The classic red mountain earthiness came through nicely, and it has enough acidity to last a few more years. Not sure it'll last past 2015, but it's good now, so I'm happy.

A friend and I tasted this at the Woodinville tasting room on 6/2/12. It had a soft elegant bouquet of cherry, spice and blueberry aromas. The palate was smooth, soft, round and tart with flavors that followed the nose. 89+

A purple ruby color. Medium bodied Malbec with tobacco, leather, herb and dark berry. Smooth on the entry with good balance with peppery dark berries, cigar box and leather. Good finish with nice pepper and decent length.
