Dark garnet - just a hint of brown edging - going strong. Amazing, intense nose of expresso, cedar, cigarbox with overtones of black fruit, cassis. Feels young on the palate, with well defined black fruit, but somehow already velvety smooth and very light on the tannins. Quite acidic - but well balanced and a long finish. Tannins do build up somewhat in the finish. Excellent now, but should not suffer from more time in the cellar.

A really open nose with great complexity between cedar, cassis/blueberries, tar and spices but after 2+ hours of decanting the wine still had tight tannins that masked most everything. It did soften up by the end of the night but the balance never came into play, seems past its prime even though the acids were still so strong.

I've had several bottles, suspect that the wine is on a decline and should be drank up, not as good as previous bottles.

dark crimson wine with intense nose of blackberries and fresh blueberries. Hints of cedar and chocolate come through with some time in a decanter. Soft and well integrated tannins give this wine a velvety texture. Bold cassis on the palate and judicial use of oak suggest this could last for much longer. Medium to long finish. This is very good second wine from Beycheville and represents excellent value for money.
