Nuts, herbs, and actually a whiff of honey; Intense, very long and big-bodied wine, yet more creamy and fruit-forward than most VJ. Wonderful!

Medium gold; intense nutty nose. Some mushroom aromas; lovely bright entry, very flavoursome and has a nice citrus streak. Very creamy, great finesse.

Interesting. A bit rawer than some vin jaune, lacking that ideal balance. A bit musty despite being open a few days. First time with Tissot vin jaune this old.

Opened the previous night and it hasn't changed flavors since! Still very savoury, powerful, not quite sherry-like. Very good acidity supported the long after taste. Should i open it days before? Might be a bit overwhelming for any kinds of food though.

A private dinner (Château de Gilly, Vougeot) : Bone-dry, Turkish delight, flor, oak, very distinctive (not Sherry!), freshness and sève, immense acidity, nutty length, classic VJ - an acquired taste.
