Very pale yellow. Grassy, mineral, lemon aroma. Bright acid on the palate with a good dose of fruit on the mid palate, rising gracefully to a long acid finish. Simple and delicious. 50 + 15 + 15 + 8.

Based on our previous experience, I decided to decant this wine this time. I opened it yesterday and it showed very differently with and without food. We started with this as an aperitif, and it was there that the minerality really showed. Lots of sour apple and wet stone on the nose. The label looks nothing like that in the picture and the bottle is some kind of frosted glass. We picked this up at K&L, and I think it is a direct import for them. Great nose with lots of crisp apple, and some wet stone minerality. I thought I got a bit of sweetness (RS?) on the palate, which probably made me feel like this was slightly less mineral driven than Sancerre like the Lucien Crochet (though from other vintages). …
