Surprised by the low ratings here. It's not mind-blowing Syrah but the quality is great and the winemaking is top notch for a natural style of Syrah. It's easy to see that this is JM Stephan wine. I've had a couple of his Côte-Rôtie's and this has the familiar tastes he brings out. Ardea seal which is interesting! Purple color. Nose of blueberries, raspberries, plum, brine and smoke.
