opens with a somewhat muted nose of dark cherry and earth tones. on the palate, the wine shows dark fruit, wet earth, and savory bacon notes. mostly neutral oak. sufficient acidity to hold it all together. it is well balanced and has a lovely not over the top mouthfeel. a pleasure to drink.
