In the decanter 2 hours prior to drinking. Ruby through, softly red summer fruit medley, raspberry, currant, cherry, some raspberry cordial, baking spice mid palate weighting, with mild small, soft and lingering tannins. Despite all this, which face value would normally seem appealing, this is kind of uninteresting. No rush to finish, and nothing wrong with this, but not my preferred grenache.

Beautiful garnet with hints of neon purple. Candied red lolly nose, I assume some carbonic maceration and reductive winemaking. Ripe raspberry, slightly cordial-ly, some tarter red currant, and hints of pine-y freshness. At risk of seeming simple, but there's some warm earthy spice and somewhat subtle powdery tannin backing it up and keeping it interesting. What's amazing to me is that this is Yarra Valley.
