Medium reddish garnet in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blueberries & plums with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes, herbs, spices, minerals & a hint of cedar in the background. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, mulberries & plums with spices, some herbs & minerals. Lingering dry finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but has the …

One of the best Brunellos I’ve had in a good while. Solid structure, incredible notes of leather, tobacco, and dark fruit with a strong pencil lead core. Let’s F**** Go

Black and red cherry, but much deeper and darker on the nose as compared to the 2020 Collemattoni Brunello it was tasted alongside. Also shows more spices and earth notes. Between medium and full bodied (14.5% ABV) with lots more black cherry notes upfront as compared to the Collemattoni. More depth and more fruit expression through the middle, again as compared to the Collemattoni. Blackberry notes come in behind. Balance on the back is provided by tannins, acidity and tart …

Bright acidity, but nice core of black cherry fruit. Structured, acidity up from and fine tannins. Really delicious. Will definitely improve with time.

92/93 Vinitaly tasting with Lisini Producer I can see why the prervious taster compared it to Brunelli, had both the same day too... but it is in two opposite styles also. I like the lighter style myself which it is here Nose is refined, very elegant and fresh, herbs, little red berries, a hint of alcohol Palate is balanced, classic, not jammy with right amount of smooth tannins, good acid and fruit, it's all very intertwinned and integrated so far. …

Feminine, with silky tannins and a long, savory finish. Red fruit galore, wet earth, sumac, green tobacco and granite. A medium body and fine layers that slowly unfold. Very pretty. Like a baby, with the ability to be tucked away for many a year. Egalitarian. Drink 2028 -.

Popped and poured. This is in a great place right now and just stupendous. Med-full bodied with cherry, mushroom, meat and earth notes. This fully mature Brunello has lots of life left, but enjoy now! Was fantastic with Bucatini alla Amatriciana. Bravo!

This is BdM number 7 from a mixed case. I decanted my bottle, and I let it breathe for many hours. I have had mixed results with Lisini wines so I was not sure what to expect. The 2019 Lisini is surprisingly open for business. Tannin is not a factor, and there is an undertow of Black Licorice. I would hold on for at least five years before tasting again. Is it worth $50 a bottle? I'm buying a case.

Decanted through a Vinturi aerator and serially sampled over the ensuing three hours, this deep garnet wine requires a minimum of 60 minutes in carafe to fully unleash its aromatic array of Montmorency cherries, cranberries, orange zest, potpourri, tobacco, rosemary and loamy earth. Medium-bodied, seamlessly alcoholic (14.5%) and with lively acids, it delivers flavors mirroring the aromas, wrapped around a firm core of graphite. The wine's medium-weight tannins flex some grip on the dense mid-palate and lengthy finish. This is …

A mild, lingering burn betrays the heat of the vintage, but the craftsmanship of the Lisini house carries the day. Still needs a 90 minute decant to show well. Open, giving, earthy, food friendly. Well into peak, but years away from decline. Drink or hold.

shared with pat at selkirk manor. i continue to prune the cellar of bottles with past due drink by dates. longevity estimates for this wine are all over the map. i chose not to take further risk by waiting any longer. the wine proved to be sound. dark color. rich mouth feel. mostly prune, dark skin fruit and some earth. i suspect it might have been better with more air. those holding bottles can look forward to enjoying this wine …

This had a three hour decant and it was not ready until five hours, even then it was still too young, but at least had opened up a little. It was barely what I'd call a ready to drink Brunello. It had hints of great Sangiovese characteristics. I'd hold this for at least two or three more years.

Base Brunello from Lisini vintage 2012. Beautiful multilayered aromas. Primaries of strawberry and dark cherry, tertiaries of licorice, tobacco and clay pot. On palate subdued fruits, instead a fresh lively acidity that is balanced nicely with med+ tannins and alcohol. Long finish. Enjoyed with pizza, a perfect match. Definitely a 4+ rating, but I needed some more fruity complexity. Can recommend as base brunello.

An absolutely wonderful Brunello from one of my favorite producers. This has the floral, spicy nose you can detect inches away from the top of the glass. It has this sneaky sweetness of red fruit and a long finish that lasted as long as I typed this sentence. Paired with pasta and meatballs and spaghetti squash with olive oil and grated Parmesan a perfect match for this wine. Cheers!

2 hour slow ox. Nose: Assorted herbs, moss and cherry aromas. Palate: Tangy acidity w/ evolved tannins and cherries. Almost Burgundian. Has held up well but now very mature. Drink up now and over next year. Last bottle and good time to leave (last notes on 4/13/17). 90+ points.

Ok but wouldn’t buy again at this price there are better wines out there. Not much fruit nor nice finish Brunelleschi are known for nice scent but the fruit is muted and finish is none existent. Don’t understand why such high ratings. Reminds me of a good Chiantii.

Second bottle, was hoping to be better than the first but these were either poorly stored or I'm just not in love with this vintage of Lisini. A bit harsh, tannic, almost drying, this did not have the balance that the 13 has right now.

My last bottle of the 2009. Last tried in 2017, has matured into an exquisite, classy, polished red with soft well rounded tannins. Bright red, Med+ alcohol cigar box, leather and subtle red cherries on the nose Medium acidity, long finish and soft tannins on the pallette

This wine pales in comparison to the 2013, which you can get for around the same price. It has a nice aroma and the familiar characteristics of Brunellos without any of the complexity or interest that you get from the best ones. Sweet red fruit, but still tannic and tart and no significant secondary characteristics. Could not recommend buying this one.

Soft nose with bright burgundy red color. Modestly strong first brunello taste - typical dark red cherries, currants but than a very smooth middle. The aging has softened the sometimes tangy middle in Brunellos. Finish is also smooth and fast but with a long linger of those fruits. Nice wine though missing that earthy finish of the great brunellos
