Mitt buljong og te på duft. Viser tydelig alder. Ingen frukt å spore. Fortsatt litt tanniner. Føles litt spak kanskje. Noe bitterhet i ettersmaken. Kirsebær på smak. Ingen overdreven syre. Tjener nok absolutt ingenting på å lagres lengre. Bedre på dag to. Litt urter. Spekeskinke.

My notes from Dec 2017: Very pale and see through, just like a Pinot. On the nose I get crushed cherry, strawberry and slate. Kinda like Pinot! On the palate it’s different, much more brooding than lets on. The flavor profile is more strawberry but I get a dark fruit note as well. Tannins are grippy and give the wine a juicy mouthfeel. The finish is generous with dark fruits coming through on its medium length. This wine needs a …

Cherry, leather, herbs and some character. Good with Italian food.

Sour cherries, leather, tobacco, and spice box on the nose. Red fruit, tannins, and tight acidity with a lasting finish

Hoped for more, cork was pristine, not sure why but just didn't deliver to the hype/potential on this btl.

My dad bought 6 of this and kept crowing about his $17 Barolo ... and you know what ... It's pretty damn good for the price. The nose is restrained with dark fruits, Black cherry, earth and leather - a bit of licorice. The palate has similar flavors but has a nice texture to it - a depth and creaminess that make it quite enjoyable. Dusty fine tannins and good acid. Better than some Baroli I have had at 3x …

At $16.99 (with free shipping!), this is by far the cheapest Barolo I have ever had - or even seen. So was not expecting a whole lot, but this pleasantly surprised. An attractive, translucent garnet in the glass - right up to the edge. Subtle aromas of cherries, rose petals, earth and mint on the nose. Medium-to-full bodied, offering a tasty combination of cherry and raspberry fruit, with hints of mineral and spice. Shows good depth on the mid-palate and …

Medium body with an old world style to it. Restrained red fruit, dried floral, and subtle earthiness. Bright acidity from beginning to end. Long and lingering finish.

Hard to complain about a $20 Barolo, especially made in a traditional style, which apparently this is. Transparent garnet color that's very pretty in the glass. Aromas of cherry cough drop, subtle floral notes, licorice, and clove. As it's aired out a little eucalyptus, freshly tilled soil, and tobacco have also emerged. Medium to medium (+) body, medium (+) acid and finish, moderate tannic grip, and flavors of cherry, lemon, orange peel, cinnamon, black tea, and spices. There's a light …

Tight, unyeilding and a long long way from being anywhere close to drinkable in any pleasurable sense of the word. It has all the Barolo cliché elements, so should age quite happily and turn into what you would expect.
