Dark ruby/garnet color, dense in the center ; cedar, leather, black berry fruit on the nose - signature Napa cab.. on palate at first quite tannic with lots of leather, very much closed at first. Then opens slowly to rich dark chocolate leather and tobacco notes. Good wine.

mouth filling dilicious wine, just enough backbone to make it stand up to steak, even better just sipping

A delicious wine. Smooth but deep fruits, just enough tannins to give it some life. Great QPR

Can drink this wine on its own or with a nice steak. Great wine with big cherry and dark berry flavors. Lots of vanilla and a slight spice with a little bell pepper in the background. Silky smooth tannins and slight acidity. Very good wine for the price.

Bought this on sale recently for $10 at Binny's (normally sells for $20-25). Opened a bottle over the weekend at a family dinner. My wife made ribs with a homemade bbq sauce, cheddar grits and asparagus. I opened this 2 hours before dinner but did not decant it. This was a very nice round Cal Cab. Plenty of red fruit focusing on berries and currants. Mild oak and a round finish. Not a wine for extended aging although it will …

Cabernet Finale (Wine Exchange. Orange, CA) : Drank as part of a Cab Sauv tasting and it had been decanted for several hours. Chalk and tangy fruit on the nose. Similar on the palate. Length around 15 seconds. Lingering astringency. Not particularly complex or nuanced.

part of a big tasting lineup of relatively inexpensive wines (less than 20 wholesale)...Good pedigree but it falls flat a bit. Rather straight ahead cab with little that stood out.

Not terribly expressive nose of dark chocolate, "cassis", some milk, and forest-y stuff. The medium body was refreshing with chalky, slightly green flavors, and not hugely acidic (which was good I think for this wine). The tannins were smallish and sweet on the finish, which made for a great texture. Not bad at all, and certainly a good QPR.
