Corked, real shame, tried it before and it's excellent

50 PN, 50 PM Tasted next to the Bossa Nova, which is essentially the 2021 version of this cru due to low yields. This was more closed off and in need of bottle age, though it also probably has more upside. On PnP, the nose was totally closed off. 12/4/23-Don't have much experience with pinot based champagnes, and this possibly may be my first one ever. Based on this showing it won't be the last. Popped and was good right out of the gate. Medium bubbles, steady, but ran out of steam fairly quick, like half hour in glass tops. But the fruit was great. Pinot and menieur made this juicy and succulent and tasty. 50/50 Pinot noir and Meunier, disgorged 21Jul22. 2,520 bottles produced. Deep red apple and green pear flavor, with a small hint of light spice on the finish and a small bit of acid. Little bit of a creamy texture after being open a bit. Had a number of these wines now and continue to be pretty impressed. Flavor and finesse.
