Tannins ahoy! Not only on the first day, but on the second, the rough tannins kept me from tasting much of the wine. On the third day, the tannins had finally receded enough that I could taste the rest of the wine, and it was actually kind of nice. Good fruit with some herbal nuances, though the tannins were still kind of rough. I'm not sure I'd age it though, as I suspect the fruit might die before the tannins.

Nose: clean, medium- intensity, youthful, black plum, ripe raspberry, black olive, black pepper, clay pot, dusty earth. Palate: dry, medium+ tannin, medium acid, medium+ alcohol (14%), medium- concentration, medium body, medium- finish, black currant, black plum, blueberry, ripe raspberry, black pepper, clay pot, dusty earth. Overall: A clean, youthful, Malbec-based wine (with 25% Merlot) that shows the expected black fruit notes with a touch of pepper …
