Lumos Wine Company Lumos Wine Company Pinot Noir Five Blocks, USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley

Some nice ripe OR Pinot character here, but too much toasty oak for me to enjoy. Didn't really notice this much from last bottle, but this seemed present over the three days that we drank this.

Very ripe, rich, and round. Some lovely OR Pinot flavors but lacks acidity to balance things out and it becomes a bit heavy after the first glass.

Had a glass for lunch at Gathering Together Farms' country restaurant (highly recommended!) near Corvallis OR. Surprisingly good, from the excellent 2014 vintage. Powerful red fruit aromas, carrying through to similarly delicious flavors on the palate, very nicely balanced. Medium/strong body, this wine was an unexpected pleasure. Bought a bottle to take home, along with the 2013 Temperance Hill from Lumos.
