Color is now a darker yellow. Nose of Butter, lemon curd, hazelnut and a hard ro pin down herbal note. Very round and ripe in the glass. The body is full and the structure has faded so that this is a little flabby and less interesting. Clearly past its window. This is their entry bottling but probably time to drink up the older Tor Chardonnays in our cellar.

Heavy butterscotch toffee with underlying ripe pineapple, quince, ginger and low acid. Some bitter oak coumarin on the finish. Table of five did not finish the bottle. Update 3/24 second bottle: consistent with prior notes, some hints of brioche. No improvement.

Delicious rich and ripe summer sipper from Tor. This blend is a tropical, creamy and polished chardonnay that gives a sunny expression of the chardonnay style that has been criticized in Napa. Apple, pineapple, guava, vanilla, mint and tea leaves. Round mouthfeel with butterscotch and brioche in the mid palate alongside the ripe pineapple and orchard fruit.

Nose: huge nose of roasted pineapple, apricot, and lemon creme. Bits of herb and melon notes as well. Palate: Just enormous viscous and mouthfilling. Rich apple, pineapple and butter toffee notes. Meyer lemon and some sharp acidity reign it into balance. Unsure about this. I need to taste it again. Very pleasant, but hard to see my way to drinking a whole bottle.
