So I bought a cellar; 11/12/2022-12/31/2030 : Not bad. Screwcap, so pretty well preserved. Gold in the glass, lots of oak on the nose. Decent acidity, lemon, vanilla.

For a South Australian chardonnay, this is pretty good. It isn't heavy or tropical. It has good acidity and a nice lick of French oak. But personally, I'd choose a good Port Philip (Mornington, Yarra Valley, etc.) or Margaret River example over this any day.

Quite a bit of oak but still with great finess and good acidity. A very good example of a new world chard.

A chardonnay with a noticeable taste of oak but it's not overwhelming, take care not to serve it too chilled. Nose is unremarkable. Nicely balanced taste, an uncomplicated and enjoyable choice but not an earth-shaking experience..

A bit stale and flat. Losing its brightness.

Excellent Chardonnay, with apple and cream aromas. These are followed up with rich apple, sour cream, and biscuit flavors in the midpalate. A very well-made and balanced Chardonnay for the price--one that has richness without excessive oak.

Like this nice balance of oak and fruit.

An oaky nose with nuts and oily coconut. The fruit was sour and it also showed some flowers. Medium intensity. Crystal clear and a rich and big taste with good acidty. Bitter-like finish and a somewhat short finish. Young, rustic and powerful with balancing acidity. Good. (not completely sure about the year)

Not bad for a relatively cheap wine. Ripe teach fruits are simple and a bit sweet. Some oak is a bit clumsy on the nose but better handled in the mouth. Fruit tails a touch on the finish, finding it tough to compete with the oak.

Very pale straw. A floral and yeasty nose of white fruits - a bit one dimensional. Palate consists of tangy white nectarine, with a touch of toasty butter and soap. OK for the price, but not an impressive wine.

{screwcap, 13%, A$5) Pale straw. Vanilla and aged cheese on the nose, but still youthful. THe cheesiness disappears on the palate, which is still softly vanillan, but coloured with white peachy/nectarine flavours. Sadly - unsurprisingly - there's minimal acid, and the wine quickly becomes flabby in a modern, bistro-kind-of-way. The remaining flavours on the palate are of chippy oak - deftly handled, but crude none-the-less - and overall its a competent but dull effort. Given that its 2009, it's clearly …

Sherry notes on the nose. Very oxidized. Not sure if this was an off bottle or just over the hill but this one was pretty much undrinkable and went down the drain.

Great value! Drinks like twice the price. Lovely fruit forward nose with hint of vanilla. Pallet of pear, mellon & vanilla with citrus undertones and good acidity. Clean finsih.
