It has moved from the fresh, redberried, energetic phase into something more mature. It is more like overripe strawberries and an earthy tone. Still a nice wine but I like it more in the youthful stage.

Poured at cellar temperature into a stemless VYCE glass. Very strange synthetic bullet-like cork. The nose is aggressively smokey, but backed by deep red fruit. As though someone lit fire to some cherry flavored cough medicine. Lifted attack with blood orange, raspberry, cherry, leading into a mid palate with nice depth of flavor offered, on the back, by that smoky medicinal, amaro/Campari-like character. The finish is rather abrupt, unfortunately, and grainy, but this was a pleasant surprise.

Well, it was wine ... so a win for the producer. jk - really nice and well-rounded with amazing freshness and vivacity. Red fruits diving into citrus zones. Nice structure and a little leafy quality. Really enjoyed this.

cloudy, translucent. nose with red fruits, orange, and lava. medium bodied with plus acidity. good freshness. strawberry, cherry, brush, and lava rock flavors. fine tannin on the back. fairly focused and linear now. these are generally better after a couple of years. tasty and will work with a lot of foods. his wines have maintained the natural appeal but somehow roped in the wildness a bit.

First time trying this hyped wine and I must say it's worth all acclaim. Lovely bright translucent red color. Some brett/stable together with minerals on the nose. Light on the palette with a high acidity and notes of cranberries, lingonberries, blood orange, minerals and smoke.
