A lovely, well balanced Pinot that only got better over the course of the evening. Holding up nicely beyond the suggested drinking window.

Continuing to throw massive sediment, don't quite recall this from other vintages of this wine.

Nice wine for the money, less interesting than the vintages that surround it though...

This wine benefits from decanting hours before being served. It's even better the second day. It takes that long for the full fruit and light oak notes to come through on this pleasantly light-bodied wine.

Tannins have softened and integrated. Nose of bright bright, fresh cherries. Almost fills the room. Light bodied flavors of cherries, a bit of earth and subtle oak. Really nice, light and great value for $16.

Bright fruit, without going over-the-top for me. Very wonderful wine for the price.

Fresh red cherry and strawberry nose with a hint of mushroom. Bright acids, pretty strawberry, raspberries, very refreshing in the mouth. Medium-light bodied. Tannins are light but present, feeling lightly chalky, nice. Yet another great WV bottling from EW.

Opened 1 day: Typical Oregon must on the nose with some wet logs coming through as well. Almost a metallic quality coming through on subsequent smells, which isn't something I'd expect. The flavor is very fruit forward with raspberries, cherries, blackberries and blueberries dominating the palate, and eventually evolving into a soil-like shadow of the original fruit. Strong but not uncomfortable acidity and extremely soft tannins.

Clear ruby red. Nice nose with red fruit and some spice and a hint of anise. Medium to full bodied. High acidity, medium concentration and good intensity. Good tart red fruit. Cherry and pomegranate. Refreshing mouthfeel and a medium to long finish. Silky tannins.

Light ruby color with a subtle red fruit nose. Light strawberry and red cherry with a darker, dry cranberry in reserve. Overall, a light bodied wine with a bit of earth and some minerality.

The first 09 red that I've opened. It is almost dark-rose in color it is so light. The palate is a bit heavier than the color would suggest. Nice red fruit and the wonderful Oregon nose of earth and fruit. The 8 is what I, obviously, give it now. I can see this increasing to an 88 or 89 as it puts on weight. Had with a pork roast. SECOND NIGHT -- Man, if anything this got thinner. I hope …

Muted nose at this point. Palate is more giving. Slightly sweet cherry flavors falling just short of candied. The high temps of the vintage show in the sweetness of the fruit and in a glycerin texture, again falling just short of a problem, narrowly avoiding flabbiness. Either way, there are no roasted flavors and no alcoholic heat, and those are the killers with hot-vintage wines. I could wish for a bit more acid but others will disagree. A pleasant drink, …

Pop and pour from a 375. For those maligning Vinopolis in the other thread, this was something like ten bucks there, so all is relative... Opaque ruby. Savory cured meat and orange peel nose. Different, but quite nice! Very clean wine, seriously acidic with some red fruit, allspice and another hint of orange, but more like an orange herbal tea than the evident peel on the nose. Grippy tannins accentuate the spicy finish. Generally, this WV cuvee is one of …

A good mid week wine. She liked it more than I did. She says, "light in flavor, good for chugging." I say, "it's a bit boring."

Great solution for the pantry, wish more wineries offered these 3L bag in box. On to the wine... Great wid-week pinot. Showing some of the heat of the vintage, especially just in how fruit forward the wine is, though still balanced. Don't imagine this will develop into anything great for my preferences, but a solid glass of wine. Not nearly as dark as some of the 08 Evesham wines I've had recently, Cuvee J in particular..

Day 1: Funky nose. Wet forest floor, some faint fruit. On the palate, raspberries, mushrooms, dirt. A little bit of tannic grip is quite nice. Something a little bit harsh about this, but everything is there otherwise. 87+ Day 2: Here we go. Really opened up. The funk is gone, and has been replaced by pure red fruit. Raspberries, cranberry. Tastes a lot like a grape Jolly Rancher, actually. Really tasty. Good acidity, medium length finish. Very elegant. 90.

Light red. Nice fruit. Wish it had a bit more zip, but a very good value to drink now and over the next few years.

The nose is bright and tart with grapefruits and cherries playing around on a foundation of basil leaves. The texture is good and even across the palate with welcoming acidity from the middle onward. The fruit is round on the palate showing apple and cherry flavors touched with a little spice. This is clean and approachable. 88+

Another year, another great WV blend from EW at a very reasonable price. This is on the brighter side of the fruit spectrum with some minerality tucked in behind. Beautiful acidity here as well.

Beautiful wine, and crazy cheap for the quality. An elegant and expressive nose that has all the hallmarks of Oregon Pinot. The palatte is soft and smooth.
