Still gorgeous. Decanted for an hour and it’s balanced with moderate fruit and spice. A hint of green maybe bell pepper. Fine tannins with good acid support. Probably not any upside from here.

The drinking window on this wine is closed. No discernible acid or tannins, so left with a flavor akin to slightly smokey mushrooms.

This beauty drinks so well now. I simpæy love it. Tannins are sorterede and the wine is in perfekt balance. One of the Best not CnP rjone wines arround

Lunch with the wine ark boys (Fix St. James, 111 Elizabeth Street, Sydney) : Blackberry and black pepper, a little earth, touch of woody sweet spice, cream, smells very fresh. Medium plus intensity acidity, tightly textured tannins, peppery with blackberry fruit, slight alcohol warmth, absolutely lovely.

Still getting better. Two h. decant and it drinks so nicely. Still holds a lot of typical power....but the fruitnis allways present together With leather and loads of english licorice and some mint. Lovely at this spot. Great with barbecues. Stunning QPR

Nice bottle, especially the first night. Opened two nights. Some forest floor tertiary already evident. Did notice a light melon aspect which was slight as mentioned earlier.

Tasted freshly opened, it’s young with fresh fruits like strawberry and watermelon. We let it open for 1 hour in a decanter. Tastes much better and more balanced. Beautiful ruby color with a long lasting finish. Aroma of raspberries and strawberries, lighter body. A great wine for the price! Seems to have benefitted from the age.

Big wine, but rooted and well structured. Flamboyant red fruited wine with some mild spice notes mixed with fine structure on the palate. Solid for the $12 I paid.

Its not a 100p wine but to cancel out the laughable 75 given some days ago.... in my mind this is liquid licorice and garrigue as you expect from at good rhone. My score will be 91 and if i didnt had it for halv the market prise it will be + 92.

For the price drinkable but nothing special. I paid $26. Air and vinturi helps. The label makes you feel like it’s more elevated. Appearance - clear, medium plus bordering opaque, ruby. Nose - medium intensity, youthful, black fruits, ripe, blackberry, alcohol eye burn, perfume, that old lady perfume smell, vanilla, Palate - feels disjointed, nose qualities on palate, initially I was getting more sweet red fruits. I bought a case of this wine based on a favorable review (RMP?) Unfortunately this Lirac is foursquare insipid bulk wine with heat. Every bottle pulled is the same, the last of which I just poured down the drain. IMO the Lirac appellation is low quality, where its wines simply lack finesse and enjoyment. Mordoree and Mont Redon not much better. Perhaps it is just me. I have been patient and have reserved judgement, until now. 70-75

Last of six (6). Decant recommended as significant sediment present. Predominantly black fruit accompanied with sweet spice notes. Showed well enough but fruit is fading. Drink up.

Magnum bottle; Color, clear garnet red; 1st nose, plums; 2nd nose, cedar, red fruits and smoke; on the palate, medium to full body with good balance of fruits and acidity. Long finish. Paired well with meat paella, especially with the smokiness of the dish. Flavors of fruits, chocolate and tar emerged through the evening as the wine opened up.

Took about a day to open up but once it did, was pretty easy to drink/enjoy.

Coravin sample. Light colored Grenache with a rather anonymous vinous aroma. A lot of fruit, maybe a bit dusty. ¨ Dry woody impression. Fruit and lady perfume. Slight bitter almond. More likely than not this wine would have benefited from a decant and left to move into something better. This was tasted alongside 5 other wines of, on paper, better quality level. Unfair treatment?

Color: Dark purple. Nose:cherry, anise and spice Taste: Some red fruit but a bit muted with secondary notes of smoke and licorice. This is drinking well with a short finish. All flavors are integrated and may be time to drink up. I "found" these in my cellar and have two more to use as a DD.

Not too bad. Sweet, fruity, spicy. Smooth tannins, med/low acidity. Sweet n spicy opening, fruity middle and some grass/hay w a slight bitterness on the finish

Tasted next to the Domaine de la Garrigue of the same vintage, this wine did not show the class, lushness or intensity of the Vacqueyras. Fruit has faded and while the juice is still a pleasure, it lacks distinction and depth. Would not hold these any longer if you have any remaining

Short decant (significant sediment). Elegant and well balanced wine showing a bit of age in a good way. Nice full fruit flavors, some secondary elements adding complexity. Alcohol and tannins are well integrated. Smooth finish. Excellent overall.

Bought this more than four years ago, and have been saving it. Decided to drink it in a Wednesday night after a long day at work. Good choice. It's delicious, and the aroma enchants; it reminds me why I love wine so much.

Joli grenat brillant et foncé, nez engageant de fruits noirs (belle mûre), d'iris capiteux, d'épices (girofle, cannelle, poivre), de café. La bouche ensuite est un peu sévère (Lirac oblige!?) car derrière la rondeur et la concentration douce, la puissance alcoolique et la matière serrée apportent un peu de sécheresse en finale. On sent tout de même le beau millésime. 89/90

Grenat opaque avec disque rubis pourpré. Au nez, fruits rouges et noirs mûres(fraises, mures, cassis), poivre blanc. En bouche, beau fruits en attaque, tanins velouté, longueur moyenne+, un peu chaud en fin de bouche. Toujours très bien et a ce prix. Gagnera avec un peu de temps en cave. 89+
