Very ripe but fully intact - could be mistaken with an old corton charlemagne - very nice wine, more for experts, rather main stream though - loved it - keep only 1-2 more years

Danke Robert Endlich hatten wir eine gute Flasche - ich wusste, was kommt (wir tranken blind) - aber wäre auch direkt ins Burgund abgebogen Winderschön gereifte Badische Rakete

Best bottle (Restaurant Brunnenstube, Beinstein) : Glass: Spiegelau Definition Bordeaux Tasted fully blind. Clear, deep golden color. Interesting nose, some fine butter notes and whipped cream. On the palate ripe, butter, yellow stone fruit, herbaceous and some fine oak. Creamy texture, very good balance and nice length. Probably a bit past peak, but still very nice. Burgundy? 93-94

Wunderschön - aber keine perfekte Flasche, fehlt an der üblichen Freshness und dem Kick.

Chardonnay tasting (@Private location, Stuttgart) : Glass: Zalto Burgundy Tasted blind, not decanted. Unfortunately not a perfect bottle. Fill level and cork were perfect, but I assume it was stored too hot. It lacked the freshness, depth and tension of my previous bottles. But nevertheless, this is still a very good wine. Fine caramel, high, ripe acidity, very deep and dense, very salty and long. But also a bit past peak. 90-91

Dinner with friends (Waldhotel Sonnora, Dreis, Germany) : Quick note from memory: Decanted, drunk over an hour. Beautiful Chardonnay at its very peak! Oak is now fully integrated, great Mineral core, very dense and deep. Intense and very long. Accompanied the fish courses very well. One of the very best German Chardonnays I have tasted so far. 94-95
