Soft tannins, rich black fruits -but might need some time to open up.

Quite a remarkable wine. Rich, with smoked meats Northern Rhone style. This is Australian but there is little in the way of new oak, no Am Oak vanilla. Yet it’s not obviously Yarra Valley either. Alcohol low, 13%, but glycerol mouthfeel and legs on the glass. Very enjoyable. Too easy to drink at dinner. From magnum. Diam cork.

Purple with hints of brick red. It looks 8 years old. I'm not sure if this has stems included, but it smell like it - there was an almost offputting aroma (for me, anyway) of of stems/twigs/forest floor. There was also blackberries, dark cherry and spice on the nose. Black fruits in the mouth, backed up by a nice spiciness. Some anise ocaasionally poking through. Fine tannins. Good length. Pretty unique. Ready to go for me.

- Garnet color. It's somewhat balanced with a full body. Round texture with a medium finish.

3% viognier, 100% French oak, 35% new oak. Aromatic red berries early; simple but it works well. Straightforward palate; red fruits and zingy acid. Kinda simple but very effective
