Nose: Earthy sweet dung and dark raspberry; the countryside. Palate: Fresh picked raspberries that turn into sour red plums with more time in the glass; dried sticks, and ample tannins. On day two, the nose becomes more industrial, while the palate sheds it fruit and picks up smoked meats white peppercorns, and sticks. Incredible complexity for such an affordable wine ($10).

purple core with magenta rim and medium body. a bit of funk and dust in the nose give to way to wild mulberry, blackberry and red currant with a bit of smoke and earth. dry and tannic on the entry, time on the glass brings out lovely layers of red fruit that grow crunchier and are laced by surprisingly gentle earthy and smokey notes. good acidic lift and moderate finish. young and a bit tight at the moment, a little …
