Drives home the point, don't bring great wines to noisy events where they are not the primary focus. What was I thinking.

I mean when this wine was first opened the color alone will lure you in. Deep rich, golden sunrise in your glass, first aroma was an oak, vanilla, apricot. Delicious.. very balanced apricot, vanilla, pineapple, toasted coconut, with a very bold finish. We purchased 2 and this was our last bottle. Drinking beautiful. Also had it with homemade fresh poached Lobster tails , Mac n cheese which paired perfectly! Have to say we first was introduced to this in our …

Beautiful presentation of chard from the region, the fruit is allowed to express itself without being overwhelmed by oak, which plays a more complementary role than a standout one.

I opened this bottle about a half hour prior to our Mother's Day brunch but kept it one ice.. This is a really excellent chardonnay. A palate of orange, peach and melon leading to a very long finish. I believe this wine still has some years left.

Our final bottle, opened to accompany a lobster-based appetizer. Light color is very promising but there is just a subtle hint of butterscotch as well, with orchard fruit tones underneath. I find a little butterscotch on the palate as well, and for me it is too distracting. Made better by being paired with our meal, this was good but clearly short of the better examples of this.

Knockout wine. This is a big Chardonnay and if that’s not your style you may not like it, but within that category it’s balanced, complex and long Nose is a blast of lemon, grass, white flowers, butter and a hint of the artichoke that comes through more on the palate. The flavor and body is big and bold but balanced with enough acidity and minerality. The more savory artichoke/vegetable notes are also nicely balanced with the fruit flavors and linger …

Light gold yellow color. Lovely rich long feel on the palate with white flowers, pears, honey, and lightly spiced roast apples. Beautiful wine at this point in its evolution that reminds me of a high quality Chassagne Montrachet.

Really surprised !! This bottle is starting to sherry. I am getting a little tired of pouring $100 bottles down the drain. I think I will send this back to PM and get their take on it. (Edit one week later) Since I wrote this I had a talk with a wonderful young man at PM. We talked for about 30 mins and he walked me through the wines from 2013 and beyond. It was really educational. Mother nature throws …

Opened by Allred. Served blind. I've had 9 Peter Michael Chards, always at someone else's expense. This was an excellent example of a rich concentrated California Chardonnay. A buttery and oaky nose. Notes of lemons and waxy white fruit. An oily texture with some alcohol on the spicy finish. Unfortunately, this is not a style that appeals to me. 91 points.

Golden color. Nose is a bit muted but there is apple cider and citrus. Good salinity and minerality on the palate. A little too alcoholic for my taste. I’m not sure if this will actually better, but I wouldn’t drink it now. I’d be inclined to sell or wait a couple more years to see how it has developed.

2022 Judgement of Chevy Chase (R & N's residence) : This is a textbook example of Peter Michael Chardonnay. Rich golden color. Very rich and concentrated nose, ripe tropical yellow fruit, dry peach, candied pineapple, crème brulee, butter scotch, noticeable oak, sweet spices and mineral. There is a hint of heat at the end. Exceptional concentration, packed very ripe yellow fruit, rich and oily, medium acidity and mineral, and a medium long ripe yellow fruit driven finish. IMO, Peter Michael’s …

4th Saturday Group: Uptown Brown Bag : Double blind. Pale color, slightly cloudy, clearly unfiltered and my first thought is Peter Michael. Notes of apple, pear and honeysuckle blossoms. The palate follows the bouquet, with the addition of mineral and citrus tones. Guessed 2017 Mon Plaisir. Young. Hold to 2024+. 91+ pts.

Deep yellow color. Aromas of tangerine, butterscotch, pear and honeycomb. Pear, melon, honey and just a hint of butterscotch on the palate as well. Full-bodied and richly textured, this paired well with a meal of sauteed sweetbreads with beech mushrooms. 92+ for me, 94 for Domino.

Justin's bachelor party (Gravitas - Washington, DC) : This is even richer, riper and oakier than the Aubert with noticeable heat. A textbook Peter Michael. This is a very divisive wine. Personally, I would try to consume in the first five years.

Bright yellow gold, crystal clear Bright white peach and pear nose, no tropical notes appreciated in this bottle Big mouthfilling glass of wine with bright pear and a slight butter rum note in the finish. Quite impressive and delicious. On the big and heavy side, but avoids any clumsiness through nice balance. Neither elegant nor restrained, but quite tasty. By this bottle, I’d say drink now, though safe to hold

This is one of my favorite Chardonnay's. Hints of honeysuckle, great mouth feel and smooth, silky finish. No big butter overtones, can really taste the terrior in this amazing wine. Paired with Prosciutto and Buratta with stone fruit and complemented perfectly.

Fantastic. Opens with aromas of honeysuckle, candied lemons and toffee. Drinks smooth and flavorful with mostly mineral driven notes: apricots, melon, brioche and butter pecans. Full bodied with blended tannins. Hidden oak finish, but tremendous length to palate. Great effort.
