Domaine des Faverges Chasselas RÉSERVE DU CONSEIL D'ÉTAT

Medium nose of spice (nutmeg), melon, nectarine, blossom, lemon with a hint of vegetable (asparagus?). Dry, med+ acid, decent body (nice surprise for a chasselas) on the palate, with creamy melon, lemon and apple, a distinctive smokey flavour underpinning a persistent sense of minerality. Long and persistent. Still young and I think will gain complexity. A grown up chasselas to enjoy quietly and with time to savour. VG+.
