This wine is in a great place right now. Lots of fruit, good flavor, great with food. Alcohol is not noticeable anymore.

Big wine at a not so big price. Not as hot as it was a couple years ago. It’s got more balance now.

Inky almost opaque dark purple. Little to no rim variation. Aromas of stewed dark fruits, pepper, and vanilla. The palate is smooth and luxurious, with flavors of blackberry, black plum, prunes, boysenberry, licorice, black olives, pepper, and earth. Alcohol is high, acid is medium, tannins are medium. Paired well with homemade burgers and assorted dark chocolates. Wish I could find more.

PnP, cellar temp. Oak has integrated, no longer comes off as quite so hot. Really drinking well. Great fruit up front, nice medium finish with plenty of lingering tannin.

Rich dense wine. Seems to be high in alcohol. It’s a pretty hot wine.

Dark chocolate, spice & tar. Tick and jammy. Definition of a fruit bomb.

30m decant. Oak for miles on the nose. Meaty, gamey, spicy, peppery in the mouth. Big but not complicated. A bit hot. Drinking fine.

Has some dry undertones synonymous with a Syrah but isn’t overwhelmingly full bodied. Dark cherry. Just slightly acidic

Inky and influenced by oak. Not too much vanilla but a consideration. Reading notes here, perhaps some bottle variation. I found it perfectly good at our table, though short of remarkable.

Popped and poured. Very dark, almost inky. Tasty, but as others have decanted, I should’ve followed suit. Easily worth the $18 from Last Bottle

Decanted for over an hour. Much smoother than previous bottles. Similar to previous tasting notes.

90m decant. Big nose of oak - smells like walking through a winery cave, can almost reach out and touch the barrels. In the mouth, lots of tannins but they are smooth. Super dark black fruit, some smoke but not as much as previous bottle. A day after drinking a very forgettable Syrah, this was a welcome bottle. This wasn't as hot as a previous bottle, but it is Big. Took two bottles out of the cellar for an event …

60m decant. Smoky black fruit, medium-full body, hot, acid, and a bit green. May wait a bit before opening another bottle in hopes that it just needs some time, fingers crossed.

Decanted for an hour. Inky purple in color. Medium bodied and medium finish. Dried flowers and cassis on the nose. Black fruit and a bit acidic on the palate. Has a delicious factor. Good to go.
