The Bruery S'More BBLS

I may have enjoyed the first bottle, perhaps against my initial inclinations, but the way this second bottle has aged has definitely given me a bit of pause. The marshmallow and cacao notes are much more restrained and subsided, which allows more of the sourness to come through, and the more sips I took, the more I wondered why this particular beer would have benefitted from the addition of a sour stout. Frankly, it's an odd, confounding brew.

I went into this brew wanting very much to like it, and I have to admit that the super sweet adjuncts and mostly sour base beer initially didn't quite work for me. But the more sips I took, the more I enjoyed it.
