Beautiful, expressive and luxurious bouquet with vanilla, cedar and sweet spices like cinnamon. On the palate juicy red and dark berries, chocolate, some barnyard, slightly sticky tannin with a good bite. Ready now and the next year or so and a great pleasure with a good length.

Decanted 1 hour, cellared since June, 2008, lovely nose of cedar, graphite and truffles, the palate was complex with spice, pencil, currants, cassis, plum and hints of terroir on the finish. Paired with lamb chops beautifully and I see based on this well cellared bottle no hurry to drink.

Still good fruit, also some tannins remain. Still some ways to go!

wood, muted cut flowers and dark fruit on the nose- fruit evolved to more like cherries on the palate with a dry, tart, lingering finish. More fruit on day #2- better.

eh. not bad but nothing i'd go buy again. wood and tannins throughout. bit sour on the finish. harsh when first opened but mellowing after an hour. Dried cherries and plums, bit brighter on first taste then dries out.

2005 Bordeaux Seminar at the Boston Wne Exp (World Trade Center) : Darkest color of all the Bordeaux tasted today. Freshly ground coffee on the nose that was very pronounced to me. Big body with espresso and black fruit. More tannic. This is one to put away for a while.

Minor 2005 Bordeaux, Major Quality (The Wine Club, San Francisco) : Medium color. Little on the nose, bland palate, tart finish. Not a great way to end.
