2024 Year-End Dinner : Holy cow this was wild. Incredible nose that just explodes with assertive floral, peach, rose, grapefruit, earth. There's such a good interplay of fruit, plant, and earth that feels kaleidoscopic. On the palate, there's still good freshness and it finishes with this super cool minty feeling. Gelber muskateller is apparently the Austrian term for muscat blanc à petit grains (explaining the explosive nose).

I wish I could buy more of any vintage of this wine in the Chicagoland marketplace. However, I haven’t seen it in years. A lovely wine, interesting nose of grapefruit, herbal, and floral notes. Similar notes on the palate with a lip smacking acidity and a nice saline finish. I am a big fan of Knoll wines

What a beautiful wine. A strong whiff of grapefruit and sage in the nose, but this is not Sauvignon blanc. It is Gelber muskateller, a relatively unknown grape, that at least from Knoll and a few others, provides a very sophisticated wine that is a wonder to drink.
