Bertram-Baltes Ahrweiler Forstberg Spätburgunder

11.5% ABV. Decanted for 2 1/2 hours in the morning, poured over dinner. Dark forest berries, black raspberry, cherry, sauerkraut, beetroot, yoghurt, smoky and iron-like mineral tones, spiced cookie, and Pinot spice, with medium to medium(+) acidity and very good length. Well balanced, with average concentration, a lightly creamy texture, and great persistence. Should drink even better in three or four years, say from 2028.
